Born in Somalia, raised and educated in Somalia, France, the Middle East and UK, Abshir is the founder and CEO of Fort Roche with over 32 years of experience across many high-level security positions across the globe, providing expert protection to the likes of Tom Cruise and The Spice Girls. He was a consulting member of the UN Contact Group on Somali Piracy and has represented the Somali government at the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the EU Institutions in Brussels since 2004. Abshir is both a successful businessman & entrepreneur with a unique combination of expertise, leadership & strong international relations to support his claim.
Christian Moore was an officer in the Royal Marines and UK Special Forces for 20 years before working in commercial security and intelligence for the past 12 years. During that time his roles have included Director of Intelligence for a FT100 multi-national, Director of Strategic Operations for a US risk management consultancy, and Vice President Americas for a UK-based global security company. Christian is a highly experienced business leader and security risk management consultant who has advised clients as diverse as Exxon Mobil, Amazon, the Gates Foundation and the Government of Belize.
Matthieu is a seasoned security professional who served for 5-years in an elite unit of the French Foreign Legion. Since leaving the military in 2003, he has served in a variety of commercial security roles: from a close protection team leader in Cannes, and a mining project consultant in New Caledonia, to an operations manager responsible for multiple hotel security teams across London. To balance his considerable practical security experience, Matthieu has earned Bachelor and Master-in-Research degrees in Security Risk Management. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Registered Independent Security Consultant (RISC), a full member of the Association of Security Consultants (UK), a Member (MSyI) of the Security Institute (UK) and ASIS.
Nigel Carpenter has been involved in the provision of security services for over 40 years. After a 23 year career in the Royal Navy Police, he has performed varying security roles with a number of major corporates including Mobil Oil, British Gas, Amoco Corporation and BP plc where he was the Deputy Head of Global Security. More recently, Nigel was the Group Head of Security for Amec plc, a large project engineering and construction company serving clients in industries such as oil & gas, clean energy, nuclear power and mining & metals.
Steve is a former member of the Metropolitan Police Service. After spending a number of years as a specialist surveillance photographer working alongside police surveillance teams conducting operations of major crime and terrorist groups in London he transferred to the newly formed National Criminal Intelligence Service (now NCA) where he developed a technical surveillance capability for the organisation deploying covert tracking and CCTV applications. After forming his own company in 2004, Steve now works in the corporate sector supplying a vast range of other specialist investigative services including covert CCTV, surveillance, training, tracking, security testing, TSCM debugging and much more. Steve has a large number of key corporate and governmental clients and works all over the UK and worldwide.
